New to physiotherapy, or just curious about our treatments? Here are answers to the questions we hear most. Can't find yours? Call or message us!
What happens at my first visit?
We start by listening. Your physiotherapist will ask about your pain, history and goals, then assess your movement, posture, strength and joint function. You'll leave with a clear explanation of what's going on, a treatment plan and, usually, some first steps to try at home.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable clothing that lets us see and move the area being treated (shorts for knee or hip issues, a tank top for the shoulder or back). We also recommend bringing any imaging or surgical reports and a list of your medications.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition, how long you've had it and your goals. Some people feel a difference in a few visits; others, such as those recovering from surgery, benefit from longer programs. After your assessment we'll give you an honest estimate and review progress regularly.
Are these treatments right for me?
Not every treatment suits every person. Your physiotherapist will recommend what's appropriate after your assessment, and will tell you if something isn't suitable for your condition, such as certain medical conditions, implants or pregnancy.
Can you help with recovery after surgery?
Yes. We work with people recovering from procedures such as knee or hip replacement, rotator cuff repair and spinal surgery, guiding mobility, strength and confidence step by step in coordination with your surgeon's protocol.
How do I book an appointment?

Is physiotherapy covered by insurance?
Many extended health plans, including most employer group benefits, cover physiotherapy, but coverage varies. Plans differ in their annual maximum, the percentage covered, and whether a referral is required. Check your policy or call your provider before your first visit. We provide a detailed receipt with the information your insurer needs.
Do you accept insurance? Do you direct bill?
We do not direct bill. We provide receipts that can be submitted to most extended health insurers for reimbursement.
Is physiotherapy covered by OHIP?
OHIP only covers physiotherapy in specific situations, and only at designated OHIP-funded clinics. These generally include people aged 65+ or 19 and under, those receiving OHIP-funded home care, patients needing physiotherapy after a hospital stay, and long-term care residents. If you don't qualify for OHIP-funded care, our services are paid privately or through your insurance.
Do you work with WSIB or auto insurance claims?
We do not currently accept WSIB or auto insurance claims.
